What is a mechanical engineer?

Well this is a rather complex question, not easy to answer many of our colleagues and friends believe that a mechanical engineer is a guy who fixes cars and has a title, and well I think this is a wrong idea of something which in actually a mechanical engineer, so then I will make a small list of jobs that would occupy this type of engineering because it relates each occupation.
a) design of machines.
Referred to the engineer or person who is dedicated to creating a machine for the benefit of a company or the same in their work, machines can be of any size and of course it will depend on the preparation that takes the person who performs

b) optimization of production processes.
Production processes are a sequence of activities required to develop a product (goods or services).
This definition of "simple" is not much since it will greatly the productivity of the process.
Usually there are several paths you can take to produce a product, whether this a good or a service. But the careful selection of each of its steps and the sequence of them will help us to achieve the main goals of producing
c) quality control.
Quality Control will be sworn in as a strategy to ensure continuous quality improvement. Program to ensure continued customer satisfaction through external and internal development of product quality and service.

d) metal.
Metallurgy is the science and technique of obtaining and processing of metals from metal ores, to the non-metallic. Also studied the production of alloys, the quality control of processes and their control against corrosion. You could say that is one that will be in contact with the materials whether metal or other material, and analyze what is best for the work required



e) product planning.
Planning is the creation of the product and is the starting point for carrying out the marketing program of the company. The product planning for all activities to allow producers and dealers to determine which product lines the company should take.

f) maintenance of heavy machinery.
It is responsible for maintaining order in everything related to the machines that are in the business, if he does his job well the machines will not have a proper functioning and this affects the development of the company.

h) evaluation.
Is responsible for seeing that project should be more to the company, sometimes there will be several options to choose from and if we are prepared to make a wrong decision which could cost jobs, whether we are prepared for this type of work is that we are already metiéndonos in the heads of other professions,


If we realize the work of engineers is very large not only limited to something that has to do with a car, a vehicle or a machine, if the preparation is right may come to get the jobs that never would have thought, what is important not to lose sight of their goals and are encouraged to explore a career that has to do with mechanical engineering.
